Bacha, Haydna, Beethovena, Mozarta, Mendelssohna, Rossinija, Stravinskog, Griega, Elgara, Roussela, a i djela 20. stoljeća, ne zaboravljajući pritom skladbe suvremenih čeških skladatelja.

Orkestar je dosad nastupao pod ravnanjem dirigenata, kao što su V. Neumann, A. Rahbari, Ch. Benda, A. Scarano, N. Tsouchos, N. Athinaios, P. Schreier, P. Meyer, H. Griffiths, H. Rilling, J. Snimio je preko 170 CD-a za razne diskografske kuće, uključujući Supraphon, Orfeo, Discover, Claves i Koch International, a nositelj je i dvaju platinastih CD-a tvrtke Supraphon za najuspješnije snimke s područja klasične glazbe devedesetih, kao i zlatnih diskova tvrtki Discover, Lupulus i Supraphon.

The world renowned orchestra, Virtuosi di Praga (VDP), has been led from the very beginning by conductor and violinist Oldřich Vlček who after 1990 built, from a formerly small orchestra, an ensemble which turned into a sought-after partner for world stars, such as Plácido Domingo, Igor Oistrakh, Mstislav Rostropovich, José Cura and others.

The ensemble has a wide repertoire, consisting of works by Vejvanovský, Mysliveček, J. S. Bach, Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart, Mendelssohn, Rossini, Stravinsky, Grieg, Elgar, Roussel, as well as works of the 20th century world music, but also has the courage to support contemporary works by Czech composers.

Virtuosi di Praga performed under the baton of V. Neumann, A. Rahbari, Ch. Benda, A. Scarano, N. Tsouchos, N. Athinaios, P. Schreier, P. Meyer, H. Griffiths, H. Rilling, J. Swoboda etc. The list of soloists with whom the orchestra has played includes renowned names, such as Plácido Domingo, José Cura, Barbara Hendricks, Mstislav Rostropovich, Igor Oistrakh, Pavel Kogan, Mario Carbota, Mario Brunello, Sergej Krylov, Marina Vyskvorkina etc. The orchestra often collaborates with prominent Czech choirs, such as the Prague Philharmonic Choir and Prague Chamber Choir. The orchestra recorded over 170 CD’s, produced for various labels, including Supraphon, Orfeo, Discover, Claves and Koch International, and is holder of two Platinum Discs from Supraphon for the most successful recording in the field of classical music in the nineties and Gold Discs from the Discover, Lupulus and Supraphon companies.

Svira na vrlo rijetkom glazbalu talijanskoga graditelja violina Camilla de Camillija iz 1734.

Miroslav Ambros (1987) devoted himself to playing the violin professionally at the age of eleven. In 2006, he began his studies at The Academy of Musical Arts in Prague under Ivan Strauss. Since 2008 he has been a private student of virtuoso Josef Suk. Miroslav Ambros received his Master’s degree in 2012, winning a number of prizes along the way. Balletto detto Il conte Orlando Gagliarda Villanella Passo mezzo e mascherada

KALAMOS kvintet je prvi i jedinstveni takav sastav u široj regiji.

Članovi kvinteta redom su vrsni glazbenici: Katarina Grubić (oboa, engleski rog), Yaroslav Sadovyy (klarineti), Bernard Homan (saksofoni), Rude Mimica (bas klarinet) i Matko Smolčić (fagot).

A reed quintet is a group of reed instruments consisting of oboe, clarinet, saxophone, bass clarinet, bassoon, and their related variants. It appeared on the international musical scene not so long ago, in the mid-eighties. The new type of musical ensemble soon met with critical acclaim, and The Times went so far as to call it the best musical format on the planet.

The KALAMOS Quinet is the first and only such ensemble in the broader region. It was founded in Zagreb in 2013. Its first appearances took place at the Vatroslav Lisinski Small Hall and in the lobby of the Croatian National Theatre in Zagreb, both with highly enthusiastic audience reactions, which was followed by numerous successful concerts at various summer musical events and festivals along the Croatian Adriatic coast (Omiš, Rovinj, Sinj, Solin, Split, etc.). The Quintet members often collaborate with young composers from Croatia and abroad, thus encouraging them to expand the contemporary concert repertoire for this type of ensemble. They first performed quite a number of pieces at contemporary music festivals so far, such as Days of Vlado S. Milošević – Banja Luka, 2017, and MAG Festival – Split, 2014. At the same time, the KALAMOS Quintet performs music from various periods and musical styles (from the Renaissance to the 20th century) and explores rich possibilities of this unusual group of instruments thanks to their own musical arrangements. Their concerts were met with excellent reactions of both national and international audiences, as well as earned high critical acclaim.

All the Quintet members are outstanding musicians: Katarina Grubić (oboe, English horn), Yaroslav Sadovyy (clarinets), Bernard Homan (saxophones), Rude Mimica (bass clarinet) and Matko Smolčić (bassoon).
