Programska knjizica 2015 05Zagrebački komorni orkestar tvore glazbeni entuzijasti koji, izvodeći baroknu, klasičnu i suvremenu glazbu žele široj publici predstaviti bogatstvo i ljepotu ozbiljnih nota.

Zagreb Chamber Orchestra is made up of music enthusiasts who, by performing baroque, classical and contemporary music, wish to intoduce the richness and beauty of classical music to a wider audience. Through the International Festival Musica Maxima, and numerous concerts and tours, the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra with its friends, musicians from around the world, has been trying to further encourage the love of classical music. In 2004, the Zagreb-based violinists Mladen Dervenkar and Marko Mađarić gathered fifteen young string players that have graduated from the Zagreb Academy of Music and re-established the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra that Rudolf Matz first gathered back in 1937 with the idea of continuing the tradition of the Zagreb violin school. The quality of previous work is recognized in cooperation with soloists, such as Maxim Fedotov, “Russian Paganini” as he was called by Frankfurter Rundschau, Monika Leskovar, winner of the prestigious Tchaikovsky Competition for Young Musicians in Japan in 1995; Galina Petrova, Russia’s People’s Artist in 2001; François Weigel, specialized in the class of Olivier Messiaen, and whom the BBC described as a musician of rarely seen musical and technical mastery, and others. The Orchestra is significantly influenced by its previous leaders Diane Pascal, Tonko Ninić and Orest Shourgot. Especially important is the permanent cooperation and friendship with the Russian virtuoso Maxim Fedotov, who has been the Orchestra’s honorary leader from the very beginning, and since 2009, the Artistic Director of the International Festival Musica Maxima, organized by the Zagreb Chamber Orchestra.

Svira s vodećim svjetskim orkestrima i izvodi glazbene točke s najslavnijim svjetskim dirigentima. Kreativni i umni potencijal, veliko koncertno iskustvo i zasigurno primjer vlastitog oca – glasovitog sanktpetersburškog dirigenta Viktora Fedotova – doveo ga je do dirigentske djelatnosti.

Maxim Fedotov (violin) is a Russian violinist and conductor, People’s Artist of Russia, artistic director and chief conductor of Moscow City Symphony Orchestra “Russian Philharmonic”, “brilliant artist and perfect master”,”Russian Paganini” (Frankfurter Rundschau). Paganini), Moscow City Government Prize Laureate, professor at the Moscow State Conservatory, head of violin and viola departments at the P. I. Tchaikovsky Conservatory, a jurymember at international violinists’ competitions. Fedotov has performed at most of the world-famous concert halls and given more than fifty solo and symphony concerts at the Grand Hall of the Moscow Conservatory alone in the last ten years. He plays with major orchestras, cooperates with celebrated conductors. Concerts and records in a duet with pianist Galina Petrova are a significant part of his creative work. Maxim Fedotov is the first violinist who has given a recital playing two violins of N. Paganini – Guarneri del Gesù and J. B. Vuillaume (St. Petersburg, 2003). His creative and intellectual potential, vast concert experience and the example of his father – outstanding St. Petersburg conductor Victor Fedotov – led Maxim to conductor’s activity. After St. Petersburg Conservatory study course in opera and symphony conducting, the musician began to perform as a conductor with Russian and foreign symphony orchestras. Since 2003, he has been the Chief Conductor of the Russian Symphony Orchestra. In 2006, he became the artistic director and chief conductor of the Moscow City Symphony Orchestra
